Who we are
The Bald Knob Area Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of advancing the commercial, industrial, civic and general interest of the City of Bald Knob.
The Chamber has a membership of approximately 100 members. The membership represents both individuals and businesses that work to accomplish our goal as a Chamber. The governing body is a twelve-member board consisting of Chamber members voted by all members to represent the Chamber for a period of three years, with a rotation of four board members each year. The board meets the last Monday of each month to handle all business of the Chamber. The Chamber is opened from 9am - 2pm, Monday - Friday.
In addition to work of the Chamber during the year, the Chamber has several functions a year that draw people to our area and also offer a time for our members to work together to celebrate the working of the Chamber throughout the year.
Great things lie ahead in Bald Knob’s future and we are prepared to make sure that every opportunity for economic growth comes to fruition. So, if you are not already a member of the Chamber, join today. We need your energy, your talents, and your support to help us take Bald Knob to new heights. With every citizen and business working together, we will have the synergy to grow our great town no matter what challenges we face.
What we do
Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Every year in February the Chamber hosts their "Annual Banquet" We invite a guest speaker to address everyone that attends the banquet. The president of the Chamber presents the Business and Citizen's award for that year. We have a wonderful dinner and the gavel is passed to the new president for the coming year.
Bald Knob Strawberry Pageant. The beauty pageant is held in April by the Chamber. It takes place at the BK School. The ages of the contestants range from newborn to 21 years old.
HomeFest is on Mother's Day Weekend every year. The festival begins on Thursday night and ends Saturday night. It is held in the downtown area of Bald Knob. With live music every night, a carnival, car show, cake walk, and silent auction and more, as well as vendors from around the state and joining states bring their wares.
Bringing Back Christmas to Bald Knob. In December every year the Chamber of Commerce sponsors an evening for the children of Bald Knob. It is held at BK School Cafeteria and we serve hot dogs and drinks for everyone. The Kindergarten children sing Christmas carols and Santa pays them a visit. Parents are able to take pictures with Santa. The Chamber makes up goody bags that each child takes home with them. We encourage resident's and businesses to decorate for Christmas where we hold a judging of lights for each.
